Pinwheels of Possibility
With family at the center, the possibilities are endless.
Child Abuse Prevention Month 2026
In April of every year, states and communities across the nation celebrate Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Month. CAP Month is a time to observe the importance of families and communities to work together to prevent child abuse and neglect and to promote the overall wellbeing of children.
Get Involved
Whether you are a Community Champion, supporter or a CAP Month grantee, you are invited to celebrate this important month.
Show support for children and families by wearing blue on Wear Blue Day April 10, 2026 and post a picture or video of yourself on your favorite social media channel(s) and including the #WearBlueND hashtag.
Contact your local officials and let your representatives know you support family friendly policies, such as paid sick and family leave, and earned income tax credits that help reduce stress on parents and caregivers.
Follow us on Facebook and share our posts widely—and encourage your friends and family to do the same. Use the hashtags #FFND #GreatChildhoods and #CAPMonth to let us know you’re committed to helping children, families, and entire communities thrive.
